Flight Line Safety

Many x-ray shots are performed in open hangers and out on the Flight line. This situation becomes a safety concern with the lack of shielding and other safety features. To aid in safety, MXRI has created an assortment of equipment to prevent undue exposure.

Mobile Radiographic Cart

• Lead Shielded front with retractable leaded acrylic viewing window
• 4 Key interlock system. Meets revised requirements of T.O. 33B-1-1
• 2mR/hr area monitor
• Audible alarm and visual beacon for pre-warning and operation
• Safety switch operator mat interlock system
• Two x-ray tube head/tripod storage cylinders
• Cable reels for power, control cable, cooling, and perimeter markers
• Two 4’x 4’x 2’ storage cabinets

Perimeter Safety

To aid in guarding the perimeter of the x-ray exposure MXRI has produces a barrier system that shuts down the x-ray system once crossed by personnel. The main control is attached to the interlock circuit of the x-ray system or the interlock system on the Mobile Radiographic Cart. The system allows for a wide range of perimeter configurations. When used in a hanger the system can be placed in front of doors to shut off the x-ray system when someone enters the hanger.
