Hamamatsu
has developed a range of microfocus x-ray sources for non-destructive
inspection. The smallest spot size that can be obtained with the 150
kV L8121-01 is 5 micron spot. This results in crisp images even at maximum
magnification. All sources feature hermetically sealed tubes and are
air cooled. They also feature RS-232C interface for external control.
The units contains both the high voltage power supply and air cooled
sealed X-ray tube in one package thus it is very simple for handling.
