| Off-Aircraft Flight Surfaces To assist in aviation safety MXRI, has built a wide variety of Real-Time systems for inspection of critical flight surfaces. Systems have been produced to inspect aluminum flight surfaces for an assortment of planes and helicopters. We have also created systems to inspect composite flight surfaces for the F-22 Raptor. Most Real-Time systems are built to inspect off-aircraft parts. This allows the part to be placed in a smaller vault to be inspected. The manipulator is designed to allow for alignment on the Honeycomb structure in the part. This can be accomplished through moving either the part or the x-ray and detector. Through the use of a programmable manipulator and real-time imaging chain a system can produce quality scans quickly and efficiently. Below are examples of some off-aircraft Real-Time Systems |
