Air Force "MAX"

To assist in aviation safety MXRI, has built a wide variety of Real-Time systems for inspection of critical flight surfaces. One such system was built to help the air force speed up the Depot process of the F-15. Once the F-15 arrived for its scheduled depot, the engines and fuel is removed. Next the plane is inspected for FOD in all the flight surfaces. The on-aircraft inspection helps the air force to determine if a particular part needs to be disassembled.

Multiple Axis X-Ray
MAX (Multiple Axis X-Ray) was design to simplify the inspection process. The system consists of the following.

• 10 Axis Programmable C-Arm with X-Ray Source and Digital Flat Panel
• Designed for Vertical and Horizontal Flight Surface Inspections on F-15
• Work Envelope of 50ft x 46ft x 20ft
• Fully Programmable Motion with Point to Point and Vector Motion Paths
• GE Inspection Technologies DXR-250 Real-Time Detector
• Electronic Grid Positioning for Defect Location Map
• Tilt Axis for Off Aircraft Inspection of C-5 Pylons
